Second Minka Kent book. Very good. Love how all the twists plait together.
We meet two girls living in a cabin, they are waiting for theor mom who has has left with their baby sister to help her because she was ill. They don't have any form of technology or modern conveniences. Their goats provide them with everything they need.
We also meet Nicolette and Brant, who have all the modern conveniences. They don't have children and are looking at becoming foster parents. Their life then intertwines with the two girls.
Good narration.
Enjoyed it.
4/5
